Reported Use of Various Illicit Drugs at Least Once in the
Last Month Among US High School Seniors, 1975 - 1996.
| In 1996 (excluding Marijuana), the most used illicit drug during the previous month was stimulants (4.1% of HS seniors reported using stimulants at least once during the last month). This was followed by 3.5% of seniors who reported using hallucinogens, 2.5% who reported using inhalants, 2.5% who reported using LSD, 2.1% who reported using barbiturates, 2% using cocaine, other opiates or tranquilizers, 1.6% who reported using Other Cocaine, 1.3% using PCP, and 1.1% reported using Crystal Methamphetamine. 1% or under had used Crack, Amyl and Butyl Nitrites, Methaqualone and Heroin. |
