Convergent and discriminant validity

• Clients compared to Counselors So far, Chemical Dependency Counselors score higher on resiliency than do clients admitted for residential chemical dependency treatment.
• Are there racial differences on scores on the RAS?. Nineteen of the 24 scales were not significantly different between the racial groupings.
• n=107 Correlations between Resiliency and Damage Over all, clients who score higher on resiliency, score lower in damage.
• n=163 Correlations between Resiliency and Damage Over all, clients who score higher on resiliency, score lower in damage. New!
• Correlations between Resiliency and Depression and Self Esteem Over all, clients who score higher on resiliency, score lower in depression and higher in self esteem.

Change in RAS Scores over time

• Changes in Resiliency Attitudes Scale R.A.S. Scores over time. Women who stayed in treatment scored higher in resiliency at time 2 assessment.
• Time 1, 2 and 3 Resiliency Attitudes Scale R.A.S. Scores. Women who stayed in treatment long enough to take the time 2 and 3 assessments generally scored higher on the resiliency scales. New!
• Time 1, 2 and 3 Resiliency Attitudes Scale R.A.S. Scores. There were significant gains in scores on the R.A.S. for women who took time 1, 2, and 3 assessments. New!
